ACTUAL SOURCE: World Health Organization COVID-19 Situation Reports. Dotted lines are estimates based on percent of population.
Brazil is currently at the highest risk of all countries. They are adding 86 new cases per 100,000 citizens per day, which is well ahead of the USA (62) and Russia (59). Based on their current growth, they should blow past a half-million cases in about a week (by June 2). Brazil is beginning to see the related increase in deaths that jumped over 5800 today.
The only news I found on Reuters was that Brazil’s Health Secretary resigned on April 15 as all countries are struggling to make the right decision between opening the economy to get people back to work and keeping people safe.
