Japan has done quite well at managing the coronavirus since early January. The daily new cases graph appears deceivingly alarming. However, Japan’s forecasts were the only ones projected as low-volume, flattened curves well into 2021 to fit their existing data. The spike to an average of 410 cases per day from March 30 through April 26 demonstrates how easily the coronavirus can flare up until we contain all instances. They have reduced their volume to forty-five (45) per day over the last five days, well on their way to achieving China and South Korea’s success.
HISTORY
- 4.12.2020 Japan assigned Yellow status since its cases had been growing at over 10% daily for two weeks, even though it had only reached 6748 total cases and experienced a low 1.45% mortality rate.
