* Spain’s Ministry of Health changed its coronavirus case criteria, resulting in the 12,130 fewer cases on April 27.

Spain’s number of cases took off a couple of weeks after Italy, around March 10, and began to flatten their curve around April 1. Under their new case definition, Spain’s average number of cases has dropped from 5200 per day to 587 over the last week.
