SUMMARY

• Russia flattened their curve starting the beginning of May but new cases still remain high.
• European countries and the United States have flattened their curves but are still experiencing sizable new case volume. They are all seeking to phase out movement restrictions over the next few weeks, so I am keeping them at the red status level in anticipation of restored coronavirus growth.
• China, South Korea, and Viet Nam have proven that contact tracing works at containing the spread of the virus. I am guardedly optimistic that with more test kits now, countries can conduct comprehensive contact tracing. In the meantime, I still believe that self-directed contact tracing is the best alternative.
